In our fall preview, Deutscher Kunstverlag and De Gruyter present an exciting program of top-class exhibition catalogs, current academic studies, anthologies, and art guides. The monograph 'Exhibiting Caspar David Friedrich', for example, shows that the international success of Caspar David Friedrich is a result of major retrospectives of the artist in the 1970s. 'Exhibiting Abstraction' highlights the important role of exhibitions in the reception of abstract painting between 1908 and 1915.
