Lollapalooza reveals 2014 schedule

Lollapalooza has revealed the schedule for its 2014 lineup. As previously reported, the three-day festival takes place August 1st – 3rd at Chicago’s Grant Park and promises the likes of OutKast, Eminem, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, and Lorde, among others.

Eminem and Arctic Monkeys will face off as Friday night main stage headliners, while Phantogram will close out the indie-centric Grove Stage. Other decisions you’ll be forced to make: do you see Lorde, Vic Mensa, or Broken Bells? Interpol, Blood Orange, or Portugal. the Man? Warpaint, Iggy Azalea, or Jagwar Ma?

OutKast will headline Saturday night, playing against Cut Copy and EDM heavyweights Calvin Harris and Krewella. Foster the People will play prior to OutKast, while none other than Spoon will open for Harris. Other scheduling conflicts that day include Phosphorescent vs. Parquet Courts, Jenny Lewis vs. The Head and the Heart (vs. Spoon, technically), and Kate Nash vs. Meg Myers.

Sunday night may very well feature the most difficult conflict of the entire festival, as Kings of Leon, Skrillex, Chance the Rapper, and Darkside will all take the stage in the 8:30 p.m. slot. Mysterious act Kausea, meanwhile, will play prior to Skrillex on the Palladia stage. Other acts you’ll have to choose between: Chromeo and Glen Hansard, Cage the Elephant and Gesaffelstein, and The Avett Brothers and Childish Gambino.
